Swim With Ezra primarily offers lessons for children age four and older. Lessons are designed for beginners and developing swimmers.
Beginners may work on water comfort, putting their face underwater, blowing bubbles, floating, kicking, returning to the wall, and basic arm movements.
Developing swimmers may work on freestyle, side breathing, backstroke, body position, stroke coordination, endurance, and stronger overall technique.
A swimmer's readiness depends on more than age. Comfort in the water, ability to follow basic safety directions, attention span, and previous swimming experience may also be considered.
Yes. Every swimmer receives one-on-one instruction from their assigned instructor.
At certain times, two separate private lessons may take place in the pool at once. Ezra may teach one swimmer while his sister teaches another swimmer in a different area of the pool.
These are not group or semi-private lessons. Each swimmer still has their own instructor, individual lesson plan, and direct supervision throughout the lesson.
Families will be told who their assigned instructor is when the schedule is confirmed.
Not always. At certain times, two separate private lessons may take place in the pool at the same time. Ezra may teach one swimmer while his sister teaches another swimmer in a different area of the pool.
Each swimmer will still have their own instructor and receive one-on-one instruction throughout the lesson. These are not group or semi-private lessons, and swimmers will not be expected to share an instructor or follow the same lesson plan.
The instructors will coordinate activities and use appropriate areas of the pool to help maintain space, organization, and safety. Families will be told who their assigned instructor is when the lesson schedule is confirmed.
A 30-minute private lesson is $65.
A 60-minute private lesson is $130.
Most younger swimmers and beginners begin with a 30-minute lesson. This is usually enough time to practice important skills while keeping the swimmer focused and comfortable.
A 60-minute lesson may be better for older swimmers, swimmers with greater endurance, students working on several skills, or swimmers who want additional practice time.
Ezra can recommend a lesson length after learning more about the swimmer's age, experience, comfort level, and goals.
Lessons are scheduled and reserved on a monthly basis.
Before the beginning of each month, Ezra will share the available lesson dates and time slots. Families can request the dates that work best for them, but placement is not guaranteed until the schedule is approved.
Payment for all confirmed lessons in the upcoming month is due in full before the swimmer's first scheduled lesson of that month.
For example, four 30-minute lessons would total $260 for the month.
If a swimmer begins after the month has already started, payment is due for all remaining confirmed lessons before the first lesson.
Cash is preferred. Zelle or Venmo may also be accepted when arranged in advance.

The first lesson is also a chance for the swimmer to become comfortable with the instructor and lesson environment.
After the lesson, the instructor may explain what the swimmer did well, which skills need more practice, and what future lessons may focus on.
